Abstract: Abstract This book aims to make people aware of the central position the monetary system occupies in today’s highly monetarized and financialized economies. In coming to terms with the banking and debt crisis that started in 2008, hardly anyone has contemplated the role of the money system which, however, is the root cause of it all.
