Chapter Chapter 2 in Generalized Locally Toeplitz Sequences: Theory and Applications, 2017, pp 7-43 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter collects the necessary preliminaries to develop the theory of GLT sequences. The reader who knows about measure/integration theory, general topology and matrix analysis is supposed to be familiar with most of the material presented herein. We will try, however, to be as much self-contained as possible, by proving some of the results that may not be so popular, and by providing precise bibliographic references for the results we do not prove.
