A chapter in The Science and Art of Simulation I, 2017, pp 1-5 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract It is quite rare to witness a radical change in science—not just the advent of a new topic or a new idea, and not just a change in a single field or scientific discipline, but a transformation of the way in which science works in general. In this kind of situation, it is difficult to understand what is going on. Our perceptions are not yet accustomed the novelty; no scholarly language has been refined and developed to reflect on what’s going on.
