Chapter Chapter 3 in Mobile Point Sensors and Actuators in the Controllability Theory of Partial Differential Equations, 2017, pp 29-37 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we extend the observability results obtained in the previous chapter to a general second-order parabolic equation. Depending on the regularity of solutions of the system at hand, we deal with either mobile point sensors ( 1.24 ) or spatially averaged sensors ( 1.28 ). Applications to approximate and exact null-controllability are also discussed.
