A chapter in Scientific Computing and Algorithms in Industrial Simulations, 2017, pp 361-376 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI, together with its forerunner institutes, will be 50 years old in 2018. This means that a large part of the development of information technology has been accompanied by SCAI. And at least on the software and the algorithmic side, SCAI has contributed substantially to this development.
