President Trump’s Anti-free Trade Agreements Policy

Paul Davidson

Chapter Chapter 10 in Who's Afraid of John Maynard Keynes?, 2017, pp 141-144 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In the presidential election of 2016, Donald Trump won the Presidency by recognizing the frustration of middle class workers in losing jobs and industries to “outsourcing” production to foreign nations. Unfortunately his specified policies to replace the free trade agreements are not aimed at the correct cause of the outsourcing problem and so will not solve the problem. The Keynes theory can provide a policy solution.
