Abstract:
Abstract Every finite relation algebra can be represented as—that is to say, it is isomorphic to—a direct product of simple relation algebras, and this representation is unique up to permutations of the factors, by Corollary 11.45. But cardinality considerations imply that not every infinite relation algebra can be represented in this way.
