Chapter Chapter 11 in The History of the Priority Di∫pute between Newton and Leibniz, 2018, pp 473-490 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Through all of the 18th century Newton was seen as the spotless champion of the priority dispute in Great Britain, while Leibniz was the devious plagiarist [Rice 2012, p. 89f.]. One of the first authors adjusting the overall picture was the mathematician Augustus De Morgan (1806–1871).
