Chapter Chapter 1 in Investing in the Trump Era, 2018, pp 3-13 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract As 2018 began, one of the key issues for investors was whether the Trump administration and GOP could gain traction on the legislative front following passage of the tax bill. My own view was the Republicans would face formidable headwinds ahead of the 2018 mid-term elections, because of the political rancor that had been created and indications that they would have difficulty maintaining control of both houses of Congress. While there was talk in Republican circles of moving on to infrastructure spending and entitlement reform, the prospects for passing major legislation appeared low. Chapter 10 examines how long the rally in risk assets is likely to continue in these circumstances, as well as what investors need to consider in formulating their investment strategies for the remainder of the Trump era and beyond.
