Chapter Chapter 6 in Investing in the Trump Era, 2018, pp 77-91 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter begins by considering the benefits and costs of regulation of businesses from a macroeconomic perspective. One of the main challenges is that most empirical research has focused on specific industries and a narrow set of regulations. There are few studies that assess the impact of regulations on the economy as a whole, and it is unclear how reliable the findings are. What is clear is the Trump administration has halted the onslaught of new regulations, and enforcement is much more business friendly than during the Obama administration.
