Chapter 8 in Digital Business Models, 2019, pp 201-226 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter explores the impact of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on future Digital Business Models (DBM). It starts by reviewing the legal framework brought by the GDPR. It continues by analyzing its impact on companies and concludes by presenting the foundations of a new paradigm for GDPR-compliant DBMs. We finish by anticipating a stimulating effect of the GDPR that may also help to save costs for companies and develop innovative business models.
