Chapter 8 in The Open Mapping and Closed Graph Theorems in Topological Vector Spaces, 1965, pp 96-100 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract I do not wish to give an accurate chronological account of the entire material covered in this book. For a historical background of topological vector spaces, to mention a few, the Historical Notes by N. Bourbaki [4], a colloquium lecture by J. Dieudonné [7], and the Readers’ Guide by M. M. Day ([6], chapter viii) for normed spaces are sufficient to enthuse anybody and enlighten everybody.
