Abstract:
Abstract A parallel algorithm for QoS multicast routing in IP/DWDM optical Internet is proposed. Given a multicast request and a required end-to-end delay interval, the algorithm could find a cost suboptimal QoS multicast routing tree by integrating multicast routing and wavelength assignment. It has been proved that finding such a tree is NP-hard. Hence, a coarse-grain parallel genetic simulated annealing algorithm is proposed to build the tree. The proposed algorithm takes load balancing into account as well. Simulation results have shown that the proposed algorithm is both feasible and effective.
