A chapter in Traffic and Granular Flow ’03, 2005, pp 295-304 from Springer
Abstract:
Summary The paper presents a real-time motorway network traffic surveillance tool called RENAISSANCE that enables traffic state estimation and short-term prediction, travel time estimation and prediction as well as queue length estimation and prediction based on a limited amount of real-time measurements. Both simulation testing and real data testing were conducted to evaluate the RENAISSANCE performances.
