A chapter in Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications, 2006, pp 638-645 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We study mathematical models for static grain deep-bed drying. These models take the general form of hyperbolic semilinear systems. The solutions vary strongly at the beginning of the drying process, so that the use of second order semiimplicit schemes is useful. Numerical experiments show a good qualitative behaviour of our approximations.
