Abstract: Abstract The shift of global manufacturing capacity to China has enabled rapid and sustainable economic growth in China over the past 20 years. Today, about half of the air-conditioners, one third of the TV sets, a quarter of washing machines, 40 per cent of the mobile phones and 80–90 per cent of all toys are made in China.
