Abstract:
Abstract We study the performance of a multigrid algorithm for an integral equation of the first kind arising in acoustics. The algorithm is adpated from previous works on the single layer potential, and as in the previous works, a key ingredient is the use of a weaker inner product. We report the implementation details and the results of numerical experiments demonstrating the effectiveness of the method.
