Abstract:
Abstract The paper presents a semi-implicit algorithm based on the Augmented Lagrangian Method for solving an unsteady fluid-structure interaction. At each time step, the position of the interface is determined in an explicit way. Then, the Augmented Lagrangian Method is employed for solving a fluid-structure coupled problem, such that the continuity of the velocity as well as the continuity of the stress hold on the interface. During the augmented lagrangian iterations, the fluid mesh does not move, which reduces the computational effort. Numerical results are presented.
