Abstract:
Abstract In this study, we focus on a specific application, the modeling and simulation of drug release from cardiovascular drug eluting stents. In particular, we analyze the interaction between the drug release process and the blood flow, in order to evaluate whether part of the drug released into the blood stream affects the drug deposition into the arterial walls.
