Abstract: Auszug Es gibt das hartnäckige Vorurteil, dass Mathematiker einen besonderen Draht zur Musik haben. Das wird durch eine Blitzumfrage am Mathematischen Institut nicht bestätigt, es ist wahrscheinlich nicht wesentlich anders als zum Beispiel bei Ärzten oder Rechtsanwälten. Richtig ist allerdings, dass es einige bemerkenswerte Zusammenhänge zwischen beiden Gebieten gibt.
