Economic Principles and Policy for the New Economy
Federico Etro ()
Chapter 6 in Endogenous Market Structures and the Macroeconomy, 2009, pp 247-308 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter we review the main results of the EMSs approach to macro-economics. For simplicity, we summarize them in ten principles, half of which have a positive nature, in the sense that they describe crucial aspects of the way the economy works, and half of which have a normative nature, in the sense that they provide policy implications. The discussion is going to be largely informal and try to link our theoretical results to the current economic debates on macroeconomic issues and on relevant market structures, in particular of the New Economy.
