Chapter Chapter 4 in Excel Data Analysis, 2010, pp 99-139 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In Chaps. 2 and 3 we concentrated on approaches for collecting, presenting, and analyzing quantitative data. Here, and in Chap. 5 , we turn our attention to qualitative data. Quantitative data is simple to identify; for example, sales revenue in dollars, number of new customers purchasing a product, and units of a SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) sold in a quarter. Similarly, qualitative data is easily identifiable. It can be in the form of such variables as date of birth, country of origin, and revenue status among a sales force (1st, 2nd, etc.).
