A chapter in Production Factor Mathematics, 2010, pp 73-80 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The sustainable development of ground and air vehicles requires a significant reduction in the use of energy and also lower pollution and noise emission. To meet these challenges, non-gradual improvements are necessary. A central role in achieving these future goals plays the active control of the occurring flow processes. While in the past, improvements were mainly achieved through passive methods, in the future the required drastic improvement can only be achieved via an active control. A characteristic feature in this development is the intensive interdisciplinary interaction of several scientific disciplines.
