Abstract:
Abstract To understand the impact of conducting business in emerging countries, just analyze the balance sheet of global corporations such as IBM. One might have observed with interest how positive the results were that IBM has reported for the first quarter of 2009 and the quarter before in these difficult economic times. Careful listeners of the remarks during the earnings presentation will have heard where a lot of the profits came from: a successful business design in emerging countries. This provides a foundation for sustainable success to withstand the storm in the developed world. This article describes some core principles to generate very profitable revenue in the developing world.
