Abstract: Abstract This chapter is the first of the second part of the book, and introduces the concept of Corporate Performance Management, analysing the main components and providing an overview of the most common software environments used to implement such products, including those developed by Oracle Hyperion, SAP, Cognos IBM, SAS, Microsoft, Board e Tagetik. The key roles in each CPM project are also defined: i.e. management consultants, Business Intelligence experts and Performance Management architects.
