Abstract: Zusammenfassung Es ist eine absurde Vereinfachung, wenn man die „Erfindung“ der Infinitesimalrechnung Newton und Leibniz allein zuschreibt. In Wirklichkeit ist die Infinitesimalrechnung das Ergebnis einer langen Entwicklung, die von Newton und Leibniz weder eingeleitet noch abgeschlossen wurde, in der aber beide eine entscheidende Rolle spielten.
