Abstract: Abstract For companies, the implications of an ageing workforce are multiple and complex. They must consider these challenges, and must quickly find responses to them. In fact, they have started doing so. Many companies have realised that ageing is not necessarily a process towards less productivity. Many older employees have significant experience and know-how in their jobs. However, the challenge for companies is how to effectively unlock and utilise this experience. Many such corporate silver and 50+ initiatives exist. These range from flexible retirement models to integration workshops, and they seek to transfer know-how and experience from senior employees to their younger colleagues.
