Abstract We begin by establishing a fundamental fact about any normal distribution: about 95% of the probability lies within 2 SD of the mean. If we integrate the area under these curves, between 2 SD below the mean and 2 SD above the mean, we find the following areas, which correspond to the amount of probability within these bounds
