Chapter Chapter 11 in MuPAD Pro Computing Essentials, 2004, pp 347-376 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract A large part of undergraduate mathematics is devoted to working with algebraic expressions, simplifying and transforming them. In this chapter, you will learn how to define algebraic expressions, simplify or expand them, as well as many other things that are useful for solving problems in undergraduate mathematics. There will be not much programming in this chapter, though you will need to develop one or two simple procedures.
