Chapter Chapter 8 in High Performance Through Process Excellence, 2011, pp 119-130 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Knowledge and the people who work with knowledge have become increasingly important for achieving high performance in today’s business environment. Knowledge workers are people who “think for a living” [1] or, as Davenport, a business process and knowledge management thought leader, defines more precisely, people with a high degree of expertise, education, or experience. The primary purpose of their job involves the creation, distribution, or application of knowledge.
