A chapter in 80 Years of Zentralblatt MATH, 2011, pp 17-207 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The chapter contains a selection of reviews from the eighty years of Zentralblatt’s history, one from each year of 1931–2010. Many of them are connected with a prominent mathematician related to Zentralblatt as a member of the editorial board or as a reviewer; names like Courant, Kolmogorov, Hardy, Dieudonné, Hirzebruch, Faltings and many others can be found here. With the selection spreading over all fields of mathematics as comprehensively documented in ZBMATH, it is possible to follow many important developments of almost a century of mathematics. In addition, each review contains also authors’ profiles indicating their co-authors, their favourite journals, and the time span of their publication activities.
