Abstract: Abstract This article combining the actual situation of China’s highway transport of goods and using the method of transportation cost division optimizes the initial computational model of overloaded transportation producers’ profit and proposes a new model. The new model is tested by survey data in highway freight transport market of a certain area. The results of the test show that the model is in line with the actual situation of China’s highway transport of goods. What’s more, the model also points out the economic cause of overload accurately, which will help relevant departments to develop policies to solve the problem of overloading in China.
