Abstract: Abstract Impulse noise has become one of the major interference in multi-carrier communications, in-depth study should be expanded to find new ways of noise suppression for the purpose of system performance improvement. According to impulse noise which has the weibull distribution, the relationship between probability distribution of impulse noise power and the random location of impulse noise is analyzed. The simulation results and analysis show that the reliability of the theoretical derivation, also the position of probability distribution peak indicates impulse noise occurrence frequency in communication channel. The method can be used as means to estimate the severity of impulse noise in the channel.
