Chapter 6 in Successful Decision-Making, 2013, pp 49-58 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Chapter 6 introduces the general heuristic decision-making procedure which is afterwards explained in detail in Chaps. 7–11. First the value of a general heuristic decision-making procedure is assessed through a comparison with intuitive decision-making and with special heuristic decision-making procedures. Next the seven steps of the procedure are briefly described. Finally the basis of the proposed procedure is explained and the underlying heuristic principals are introduced.
