Chapter 3 in Cybernetic Approach to Project Management, 2013, pp 57-83 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Project organization management process shall identify the objectives and stakeholders first, derive the project organization from the processes needed to implement the project, adapt to cultural impacts, provide for team extensions and resources assignment. Project organization designed to be effective as opposite to be efficient might be a project success factor. In designing the organization, all stakeholders, processes, as well as Graicunas span of management and cultural impacts shall be considered. The Ringelmann effect shall be considered at team extensions. Organizational maturity models might help to assess the structures. Project coach cares about the whole team attitudes, aptitudes and resources. Position Analysis Questionnaire PAQ and Objectives/Solutions Taxonomy of Wysocki are useful techniques there. Examples of Templates, Checklists and Bibliography close the Chapter. Quick look at the beginning of the Chapter that gives cornerstone assessment of the process is presented here.
