A chapter in Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications 2011, 2013, pp 3-12 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We present an adaptive mimetic finite difference method for the approximate solution of variational inequalities. The adaptive strategy is based on a heuristic hierarchical type error indicator. Numerical experiments that validate the performance of the adaptive MFD method are also presented.
