Chapter Chapter 113 in LTLGB 2012, 2013, pp 837-845 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As China’s railway is undergoing a period of massive construction, scheduling more reasonablely and levelingly means lot to railway construction project management. At this stage, China’s railway construction projects mainly adopt the traditional network planning methods or Gantt chart methods in its management, which has its limits for the typical linear project of railway construction. This paper uses the linear scheduling method to solve the resource-leveling-based railway construction project scheduling problem of China, proposes the China railway construction project scheduling model and employs the constraint programming technique for the searching of the solution. On basis of this, the actual data of Urumqi-Junggar railway in Urumqi Railway Bureau is used to verify the model and algorithm.
