Abstract: Abstract Low-carbon transportation is the trend of development of the sustainable urban transport. With the features as lightweight, flexible, environmentally friendly, and comfortable, bicycle transport has become an important part of the urban low-carbon transport. The article describes the background of low-carbon transportation in Malmö, Sweden, analyzes the status and strategies taken for bicycle travel and proposes problems to be solved and solutions.
