Experimental Study: Design of Experiments

Aristide Aartsengel and Selahattin Kurtoglu

Chapter 15 in Handbook on Continuous Improvement Transformation, 2013, pp 247-253 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract An experimental study is a study relating to, based on, or having the nature of an experiment. Experiments are studies involving intervention by the researcher beyond that required for measurement. The usual intervention is to manipulate some variable in a setting and observe how it affects the subject being studied under conditions constructed and controlled by the researcher.
