Abstract: Abstract This chapter is concerned with the project management process necessary to execute a set of systematic observation techniques and activities focused on collecting, measuring, and disseminating performance information, and assessing collected data and trends to affect process improvement during the “PDSA Study” project phase. Its purpose is to provide an understanding of the project’s execution progress during the “PDSA Study” phase so that appropriate corrective actions can be taken when the project’s performance deviates significantly from the plan. When actual status deviates significantly from the expected values, corrective actions are taken as appropriate. These actions may require making alteration to the project deliverables, which may include revising the original plan, establishing new agreements, or including additional mitigation activities within the current plan.
