Abstract:
Abstract Interdisciplinary research on information science and tourism plays an important role in both academic research and industry development. This paper provides a systematic review on publications both in Chinese and English in the interdisciplinary research in the last 12 years. It discusses the source authorship, numbers of the articles annually, research topics from information science and tourism research perspectives. It examines in detail three key issues: the main tourism related issues in the information science research; the main information science related issues in tourism research; and the trends of the interdisciplinary research on information science and tourism.
