Abstract: Abstract Based on the 100 samples of enterprises in minority autonomous areas of Gansu Province, this paper analyses the factors that affect technological innovation in western minority areas by adopting the approach of model analysis. Result of the analysis shows that the success or failure of enterprises’ technological innovation can be jointly affected by following factors: technical factors represented by the technical capability of the enterprise and the information of its cooperative partners; mechanism factors represented by the treatment of R&D personnel, incentive mechanism, and supportive factors represented by the government support, financing support, and so on.
