Abstract: Abstract This paper has used the means of accident tree analysis and Dow chemical analysis to discuss the causes and consequences of fire and explosion accidents happened in buried oil tanks of gas station qualitatively and quantitatively. The conclusion is that using the accident tree analysis has got 85 minimum cut sets which can lead to the explosion of gas station. The gas station should focus on strengthening the safety management to ensure operating safely. Using Dow chemical analysis can get the danger level, exposure radius, hazard area and the actual maximum possible loss of property of the fire and explosion accident happened in buried oil tanks of gas station. These analysis results cover the accident causes, accident scope and the influence degree, and they have great significance for the safety construction of the gas station.
