Abstract: Abstract The satisfaction of training service for science and technology (S&T) talents ought to be carefully measured and evaluated so as to improve their training qualities. An evaluation system with 6 aspects, including training target, overall structure, theory courses, practice exercises, teaching management and employment service, is established and the modified IPA method based on the transformation from the statement importance acquired by direct investigations to the derived importance through partial correlation analysis is employed to test the satisfaction of the training program for S&T talents. With an empirical study of a special major and their investigation data, the satisfaction distributions of each indicators in the evaluation system can be clearly depicted on the IPA map and the count measures can also be put forward according to their corresponding locations in different quadrants. The feasibility and effectiveness of the study can be verified as well.
