Chapter Chapter 2 in Galois Theory, Coverings, and Riemann Surfaces, 2013, pp 41-63 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The second chapter is devoted to coverings over topological spaces and to ramified coverings over Riemann surfaces. There exists a surprising analogy between the fundamental theorem of Galois theory and classification of coverings over a topological space. A description of this analogy is given in the second chapter. We consider several classifications of coverings closely related to each other. At the same time, we stress a formal analogy between the results thus obtained and the fundamental theorem of Galois theory.
