Abstract: Abstract Helical gears in Megawatt aerogenerator gearbox are researched. The gears work with deadweight at intermediate or high speed. Based on elastic fluid influence and transform of confriction in intertooth space meshing, diversity meshing condition of N or N + 1 pairs of gear tooth in the gears meshing and diversity efficiency of each meshing point, nonlinear equations of intertooth space meshing efficiency are deduced. Gear parameters such as module, number of tooth, pressure angle, helical angle and gear width, fluid parameters such as fluid viscosity and press bonding coefficient, kinetic parameters such as gear rotation speed and input power are contained in the equations. Then, the meshing efficiency of each point on the path of contact of helical drive gear is computed by using MATLAB. And then, the transform trends of positive pressure and the confriction are obtained. Finally, influence of gear parameters on the meshing efficiency of helical gear is analyzed.
