Abstract: Abstract A shared decision making model to trade off different preferences between doctors, patients and other stakeholders is proposed. The discrete choice model is used to compute the class-level choice probability for choosing an alternative. And loss function method is used to calculate the loss of the classes’ satisfaction degree and evaluate decision alternatives for reaching a health care decision based on mutual agreement. Finally, an application example about targeted therapy for metastatic renal cell carcinoma is given. The model provides a practical approach for physician-patient shared decision making and better patient-centered care.
