Abstract:
Abstract Electricity coal supply chain plays an important role in China economic development, but its waste gas emissions have serious impact on natural environment. In this context, a life cycle inventory of raw material use, fuel consumption and waste gas emissions was established; then the outcomes were analyzed about the energy consumption and waste gas emissions to produce a kilowatt-hour of a particular electricity coal supply chain in China. At last, this paper contrasts the waste gas emissions between electricity coal supply chain and nuclear power supply chain and draws a conclusion as follows: promoting the application of integrated gasification combined cycle power technology and carbon capture and sequestration technology vigorously, developing water power, nuclear power and other new power energy forms actively, all of which will help to reduce carbon emissions of the electric industry that caused by coal power.
