Abstract:
Abstract For the decades, firms have endeavored to collaboratively communicate and jointly create knowledge with supply chain partners, and further achieve efficient and responsive supply chain. The objective of the study is to explore the impact of power symmetry on communication and knowledge creation, and further on process efficiency and offering flexibility of supply chain. Data was collected through a Web survey of U.S. manufacturing firms. Structural equation modeling (LISREL) was used to analyze the data. The results and implications are discussed in the paper.
