Abstract: Abstract In this paper, through the analysis of the survey data, we research the willingness of choosing the settlements based on people temporarily living in Beijing and effect factors. The study found that, most people select urban as settlements. The second-tier cities is the major urban type for people now living in Beijing to choose; The factors of age, education level, income level, marital status, network of circumstances in Beijing and other factors significantly impact on people’s choices; The factors of age, education level, income level and marital status significantly affect people’s city-type selection willingness.
